Lynn was born in Haverstraw, New York, a village on the banks of the Hudson River. The Mid-Hudson Valley has been home for most of her life with interesting residencies in California, Colorado and Vermont.
She was a Fine Art major and worked in the Art Department of Prentice–Hall, Inc. Later, she received her Masters of Science in Education and was a special education teacher in the Wappingers Central School District.
Lynn says, “I have always been an avid photographer and enthusiastic traveler, and feel fortunate to have explored exceptional national and international locations. The Hudson River Region, my own backyard so to speak, is bursting with outstanding image possibilities. Photography is all about capturing the light, and it is a joy to do that as it plays with the architecture and nature around us. Getting the perfect shot has resonated with me since childhood. Now, I have taken this passion to the next level through exhibiting and marketing. My goal is to share my love for the beauty of the Hudson Valley, and the world beyond, with others. I hope that through my photographs, the viewer is afforded the opportunity to notice and celebrate the extraordinary before our very eyes.”
Every home or office can be graced with an image that evokes a powerful emotion enabling you to travel to a place of joy or tranquility with just a glance. A photograph that pays tribute brings pleasure and meaning for years to come, and is ideal for that special gift.
Lynn is a member of the Howland Cultural Center, Dutchess County Arts Council / Barrett Art Center, Mid-Hudson Photography Club and Dutchess Regional Professional Photographers.
